Head of HR

Role  Overview 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead the HR function for our fast-paced FMCG / manufacturing operations. This role requires a hands-on HR leader who combines strategic vision with operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping the people agenda, building strong partnerships across commercial and operations teams, and leading cultural and organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Leadership & Strategy
    • Define and execute the overall HR strategy aligned with business goals.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on people-related matters.
    • Build and lead a high-performing HR team across key HR functions
  • HR Transformation & Process Development
    • Design and implement scalable, modern HR policies, systems, and processes from the ground up.
    • Drive continuous improvement in HR practices, focusing on efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
  • HR Business Partnering
    • Act as a strategic HRBP to commercial, sales, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
    • Align talent strategy with business needs, workforce planning, and organizational design.
    • Provide counsel on performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Industrial Relations & Union Management
    • Maintain compliance with labor laws and ensure industrial harmony.
  • Talent, Culture & Change
    • Champion a high-performance culture through robust employee engagement, recognition, and development initiatives.
    • Lead organizational change and culture-building efforts, fostering agility and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in the FMCG and/or manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up or transform HR structures, policies, and systems.
  • Expertise in industrial relations and union engagement.
  • Deep experience in HR business partnering with commercial and operational functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
