Customer Service Sales Engineer/Manager

Job Overview

The Customer Service Sales Engineer role will be responsible for achieving the sales budget for assigned Business Units and countries with a focus on service sales, while ensuring a thorough understanding of customer needs and the competitive landscape.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales budget achievement for the assigned Business Units (BU) and countries, with focus on service sales.
  • Drive business development with existing and new customers.
  • Regular customer visits to create & follow-up on opportunities.
  • Build trustful relationships with existing customers and develop new customer base.
  • Responsible for entire sales cycle from first contact to presenting solutions, quotation, negotiation, contract signing until hand-over.
  • Open communication and frequent update of market information to the Line Manager and other teams e.g. Quotation.
  • Full overview of customer installed base & competitive situation, with high awareness of what it takes to win the order.
  • Accurate monthly sales order forecast and provide professional sales report to the management on a timely basis.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:
  • Drive various market activities to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Formulate business action plan to develop new market and/ or applications, by working closely with various department including commercial, marketing and application/ technical.
  • High accountability and transparency on sales pipeline, and consistently use the CRM platform to consolidate verified data about leads and opportunities.
  • Develop and grow sales channels e.g. channel partners, agencies, finders, wherever required to meet business goals.
  • Accounts Relations:
  • Key contact to customers’ enquiries (projects, single machines, services) and coordinate internally.
  • Work closely with Service Operations team to drive customer satisfaction, including handling feedback and resolving issues.
  • Manage the existing installed base and grow the service business.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales, as well as Key Account Managers in managing both global and regional key accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Process / Industrial), or Degree in Food Technology.
  • At least 6 years of sales experience with proven track records.
  • Knowledge and experience in the food, feed or rice industries is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrate extraordinary ownership and accountability.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen, especially in B2B industries.
  • Curiosity questioning towards customers’ business needs and good listening skills.
  • Value based and solution selling skills.
  • Results driven and self-starter.
  • Positive thinker and high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to connect the dots, interpret and communicate complex information to external and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding on critical sections of the entire value chain within the food/ material processing industries.
