Head of Sales (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience working for a Chinese company’s overseas branch and a strong background in engineering products, especially in the water, heating, and oil & gas sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture relationships with local industry associations and government entities to support business growth.
  • Independently drive lead generation and market segmentation strategies, expanding the sales pipeline and identifying key business opportunities.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Prioritize and focus on high-impact opportunities, effectively allocating time and resources to maximize sales outcomes.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs, securing buy-in from key decision-makers.
  • Track sales metrics and use data-driven insights to continuously refine strategies for better performance.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, networking events, and conferences to expand market presence.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with broader business goals.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working for a Chinese company’s overseas branch is an advantage. A background in mechanical engineering is highly valued.

Professional Skills

  • The ability to manage the complete sales process, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Proficiency in market, project, and process management methodologies, along with expertise in office software, network tools, and AI technologies.
  • Strong sales acumen, with an understanding of marketing principles and customer needs.
  • Experience or familiarity with engineering products related to water, heating and the Oil & Gas sectors is a significant advantage.
  • Strong network with government relations and networks in above industries.
