Regional Business Development Manager, APAC - Jakarta, Indonesia
Role Summary
This role is responsible for leading and growing the assigned business across the Asia Pacific region, covering both equipment sales and aftermarket services. The Regional Business Development Manager, will focus on expanding market reach, building strong client partnerships, and driving early engagement in key industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership & Growth
- Take full accountability for business performance within the designated territory
- Drive sales growth across both new equipment and service offerings
- Strengthen and expand the company’s footprint across the Asia Pacific region
New Business Development
- Proactively identify and pursue new customer opportunities through direct and partner channels
- Target core sectors such as:
- Metal & Mining
- Chemical industries
- Power Generation
- Biogas energy projects
- Develop strong relationships with EPC and FEED organizations to secure early-stage project involvement
- Engage with financial institutions to support project funding requirements
Customer Engagement
- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients
- Ensure timely and effective responses to customer needs
- Represent the organization confidently in discussions with key stakeholders
Market Development & Representation
- Support brand presence by participating in industry events, including conferences, exhibitions, and technical workshops
- Work closely with global and regional teams to align on market strategies
Proposal & Contract Management
- Coordinate the development of technical and commercial proposals with internal teams
- Lead negotiations with customers and business partners to secure deals
Sales Planning & Coordination
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility
- Collaborate with headquarters to align on production schedules and delivery timelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field)
- Strong knowledge of the Gas Energy sector
- Extensive exposure to industrial markets, particularly:
- Mining & Minerals
- Chemicals
- Power Generation
- Biogas
- Proven experience in sales and/or project management within industrial environments
- Experience in engine-related or similar technical industries is an advantage
- Strong commercial acumen and business awareness
- Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain long-term client relationships
- Track record in identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Fluent in English with strong presentation and communication skills
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and responsive approach
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse and multicultural teams
